Miss Gigi – as I like to call her, was born on February 19th at 5:35 in the morning. Her ecstatic parents are some of my dearest friends, Lilly and Eric. Big sisters Ella and Anna must also be mentioned because I love them dearly. Anyway…Lilly and Eric have been trying for some time to have this miracle baby. Finally she is here! I was able to go visit her shortly after her arrival and snuggle her for a couple of days. She is beyond beautiful and sweet. Her big sisters immediately fell in love with her upon meeting her. So, here she is…isn’t she adorable?!
Love, Liz

My latest project was a tiny princess crown that I will be using for this weekend’s newborn session with sweet baby Sella. It was so easy to make and looks perfect! I can’t wait to use it for during Sella’s newborn session.
Items needed:
Ribbon of your choice – mine came from Joann Fabric, $2/spool
Silver or gold metallic paint (or any paint you choose) – mine was metallic gold and came from Wal-Mart, $1.89
Fabric Stiffner – I used Aleene’s Stiffen Quik, $4 at Joann Fabric
Measuring tape, scissors, needle & thread, paint brush – had all these around the house
I cut a length of ribbon at 10″ (that seems like a good size for a newborn head). I then sprayed the fabric stiffner on the ribbon, coating both sides evenly. I did this over wax paper to keep the mess to a minimum. (Note: it took some time to dry.) Once the ribbon was dry, I thought it needed another coat. After applying the 2nd coat and letting it dry, it was ready to paint. I coated both sides evenly. I used a foam brush and dabbed the paint on lightly so I didn’t fill any of the small holes in with paint. After the paint was dry, I stitched the 2 ends together and it was finished.
In the works, a silver sparkly crown and 2 pink sparkly crowns for my own little princesses:)

Meet Isabelle Ann. She is two-weeks old and belongs to one of my best friends, Michelle. I have known Michelle for about 4 years. We used to live in the same duplex and I was there for the births of her 2 youngest daughters. She is a mommy to 3 girls now, Brooke almost 5, Layla 2, and Isabelle. In just a few weeks I will have the privilege of photographing all 3 beautiful sisters together! I had a great time photographing Isabelle….she didn’t cry once!! Once we got her nice and full, she finally went to sleep and that’s when the great shots emerged!
Enjoy, she is a total cutie!!

This über handsome little man is my nephew Dakota Allen born on January 7th . My sister Danielle’s first child and a total surprise, being she found out she was pregnant at 7 months! I had the privilege to take a trip to Indiana to snuggle him and to get my camera on him. I was so delighted with the results! Enjoy…
